National Service Scheme(NSS)

The National Service Scheme was established in order to cater to the holistic development of the students through inculcating in them a sense of social and civic responsibility. Under the guidance and supervision of the committee convener, the students indulge in community betterment activities and events to create and enhance the society we live in and raise awareness about social issues that disrupt the peace and harmony of the society.

Vision

The Motto of NSS “NOT ME BUT YOU”, reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for self-less service.

Mission

NSS helps students develop appreciation to other person’s point of view and also show consideration to or other living beings. The welfare of the individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of the society on the whole and therefore, the NSS volunteers strive for the well-being of the society.

Objectives

• Understand the community in which they work.
• Understand themselves in relation to their community.
• Develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility.
• Develop competence required for group-living and sharing of responsibilities.
• Gain skills in mobilizing community participation.
• Acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitudes.
